Become a NBSTR Volunteer
The heart and soul of our rescue is made up of our volunteers. They are the hardest working, most innovative, compassionate, passionate, and commited group around! Time and again, they have stretched their boundaries, opened their homes and hearts to the large amount of intakes we are called to help, worked miracles with dogs, gave selflessly, devoted more time, found new and better ways to raise funds, committed to more and more outreach experiences, and made our credo of "rescue with faith" the truth behind our success.

We welcome compassionate people who wish to help us with our mission of saving as many dogs as possible. The possibilities for volunteer participation are limited only to what you are willing to do. Our rescue is a family, and we'd love you to become a part of us today!

New Beginnings Shih Tzu & Friends Rescue
Remembers
Robin Lloyd

On Oct 3, 2007, NBSTR
volunteer Robin Lloyd
passed away unexpectedly. In her wake, she left the entire NBSTR family reeling. Robin was dynamic; if she said she would do something, she did it. If she thought something

should be done, she spoke up and saw that it happened. Her love for rescue and great compassion for all dogs in need was something she wore on her sleeve every day. Robin was not always easy on her fellow volunteers...her expectations for them were consistently as high as those she had for herself. Because of her energy, ambition, and determination, the rest of us were forced to step it up a notch, or be left in her dust. She made NBSTR a better rescue - one that tried harder, believed more, and never said, "we can't."

Her strong will and candidness, her tendency to call 'em as she saw 'em, her no BS approach and refusal to kowtow - was balanced by a gentle heart and
touching wisdom. She gave her support to everyone who

needed it and was a true and steadfast friend. Although she is no longer with us physically, we continue to feel her presence daily. Many of her ambitions have been realized, her influence still felt, and much of her crazy sense of humor, her support, her friendship, and her hard work is remembered, recalled, and emulated every day. And any New Beginnings little one that has since found its way to Rainbow Bridge, we all know, is safe in Robin's arms and under her vigilence. That's a comforting thing to be certain of.
