Sometimes, after an examination by a vet, we find that there is a severe medical condition that will shorten the lifespan of the dog. We are committed to providing our dog with the best quality of life possible for as long as possible. The dog is placed in our Paws in Hands Program where it will live out the remainder of its life. Our dog remains with a foster parent and receives the care necessary for as long as necessary. Most importantly, the dog learns what it is like to be part of a family and loved.

This is Clyde celebrating his 16th birthday as a foster dog with New Beginnings. Cylde spent his entire life with one family until they decided he had to go. The upheavel after so many years took its toll. It took Clyde a long time to adjust to a new home. Cyde is a grumpy old guy who is stuck in his ways. If he does't like something, he will growl and bite.  fter a year with us and very few applications, we decided to move him into our Paws N' Hands Program.  He will spend the remainder of his life with the same foster family who first took him in.
